Does anyone know what's wrong with my receiver? I have the Bose Premium Audio package on a 96 A4.
When I turn on the reciever in FM mode, the radio plays correctly for about 5 seconds, then initiates a scan for different stations. Then, after about 30 seconds of scanning, the radio starts beeping through the speakers, first quietly, then increasing in loudness. The radio is unusable thereafter until I turn the receiver off and on again.
Does anyone know if there's a way to reset my receiver? I thought this might be security system-related, but it's not exhibiting a "safe" display message or anything.
Strangely, the radio works fine in AM mode.
Thanks to anyone who can help!!!

You've given me another reason not to go with the Bose option.
By the way, even if you get fed up completely and decide to go with an aftermarket audio setup, most installers won't do it because of the screwy wiring harness that is used for the Bose system. (It apparently requires an entirely new wiring setup to put anything else but Bose back in your Audi (or any other car).
