Default Help! My Mintex pads suck!

I installed Zimmerman x-drilled rotors and Mintex Red Box pads at all 4 corners this week. The pads are nearly dust free compared to the Ferodo pads that were on there, but performance wise they suck! They're better than the cheesey Pep Boys pads on my fiance's Golf, but they are not nearly as good as the stock Audi pads. I thought they'd improve after breaking them in, but after almost 100 miles they still aren't as good as I'd hoped they'd be.

Should I try EBC Green Stuff or just go with Audi pads and clean my wheels more often? I don't track the car, so I'm not worried about a pad that fades. I just want street performance that is at least equal to the stock setup, and less brake dust would be a nice bonus.

Default I find that the EBC have good initial bite and better feel than the OEM .. no dust.

BTW .. did you bed the Mintex?

Yup. It greatly improved them, but they still aren't spectacular.

I'm using the Hawk HP + pads. They work well at both cold and hot too. But have a lot of brake dust

Default you should try bedding them in like you are supposed to do.

I find that they happen to be on the same level as the OEM brakes if not that much better. But I did take the time to bed them in properly.

Default They do have less initial bite than the stock pads.

The solution is to just press the brake pedal harder. They will stop!

Axxis/PBR Deluxe, but install shims (I'm regretting not doing so)
