Removed the little black cap and the nut beneath it, now what?
The Bentley says to apply "gentle movement" to the arm and then just remove it. Gentle movement does nothing, after 5+ yrs those arms are on there tight. I'm not sure if they slide up and off, or do I need to screw them off?
Anyone ever remove their wiper arms? Any advice?
TIA.

what's worse, I cracked my windshield applying too much pressure trying to pry the bloody thing off. Now I have a nice spider-like crack going off in various directions, between one and two inches in length.
Greaaat.

The wipers are working slightly better (had a problem with them being very slow,) that's why I wanted to take the arms off and really clean it out.
Instead, I now have two problems instead of one.
