I have a 99.5 but my owners manual is the 99 and didn't have the supplement. I do not have the trip computer. The last two times I've driven just below the odometer where the trip mileage counter is, a "service oil"with the word oil flashing comes up after starting the car for about 15 seconds then goes off.It is not the oil pressure warning light. So i figured the oil was low or something so i checked it and the level isfull- albeit somewhat dirty- and I'm at 53,800 still a good 1200 away from the next 5k oil change. What gives? Did the dealer screw me and just take my mobil one and not change the oil??
Any thoughts?

Those lights are just hooked to the odometer. Probably need to reset it manually.

Check the tech section for instructions on the reset.

and I'm not at it now... could it be possible that one ofthe techs was supposed to reset it last time and didn't?
