Depending on where you live, dealer, local availability, etc, you might pay close to MSRP, but reasonable max discount is about 3-4% (around $1000). If you can do better than that you've made a damn good deal!

I think we have discussed this.... You will find the best price and selection at the Audi Exchange.

Do you by any chance work there? Previous comments have been pretty negative.

More Like $1000 (maybe $1500) over invoice. I got $1250 on a 99.5.

In a way we're splitting hairs here. There's about 9-11% between "dealer invoice" & MSRP, therefore, $1000-1200 off MSRP is roughly equivalent to $1000-1500 over invoice. I actually got mine for less, but there were special circumstances involved. Of course,it is never that simple. "Dealer invoice is subject to "holdbacks" & other discounts, leaving dealers slightly more room to maneuver. It still boils down to local supply & your ability to negotiate. Good luck & negotiate hard!

Correction,Larry:Audi doesn't use "holdbacks or other discounts,"so invoice on an Audi REALLY IS invoice.nt
