Default HELP Please....! 1.8TQ Stutters at cold start... Dealer baffled. New MAF no help..........

The cold start stutter only occurs if the ambient temperature is 40F or below and the car has cooled to that temperature. Then upon startup it stutters for a bit, spikes the idle and hunts for an idle. This goes on for about 45 seconds before a high idle is achieved. The dealer has replaced the MAF and cannot find any fault codes. I am thinking it is a coolant or temperature sensor. Maybe even a fuel pressure issue? Please post or email me if you have ideas as I have been back to the dealer 8 times now and the weather will soon be too warm to replicate.

Default it could be any of the above. If you are still under warrantee, demand that they fix it..

if you are not, bring it to someone that can tune a car without the computer as their one and only diagnostic tool..

sounds like they need to start replacing fuel injuction parts, including many of the ones you list.. Temp sensor is a great place to start. They can even use the computer to tell if it's healthy or not..
