Default Help removing rear sway bar. Already STFA

I'm removing the nut that connects the sway bar to the link but the nut froze up on the bolt and I started loosening the bolt itself from the sway link. Is the bolt supposed to be unthreading from the link? I can't seem to tighten it back up. What am I doing wrong?

Default I've always had problems with that nut

I find it easier to work on the sway bar if it and the links are off the car.

Is it normal for that bolt to have loosened out of the link?

Default it has the plastic inside the bolt to keep it tight...it's ususally

hard to remove it since the inside of the link, where the hex driver goes, strips so easily. Weird that you have the opposite issue with the link.

Thanks, Taking the link off made it so much easier to work on.
