Default Help!! - Rhythmic noise.

Install new shocks and springs (Bilstein/eibach) on my A4 1.8tqm. Ever since then there has been a rhythmic wub-wub-wub sound. It is speed matched/sensitive so it has to be wheels, suspension, rotors or driveline. There doesn't seem to be any vibration in the brake pedal or steering wheel.

Any thoughts people?

Thanks,

Lorin

If you go around a conrer, does the noise go away? It is front or rear?

No. It gets louder turning a left hand corner. Right hand corner is the same or less noise.
You can hear it pretty well at 20mph, at 60mph or above it blends into the road noise or is too fast to distinguish as rhythmic.

One of the upper control arm ball joint bushings cracked recently but I can't imagine it's worn out the joint in a couple of weeks.

I think it is front noise.. But it is damn hard to tell. Can't hear it when I open the windows. Only if the radio is off and the windows are shut, then the car acts like a megaphone for any vibrations/road noise.

Default It could be a bad tire.. Try moving the right front tire to the rear..

If the noise moves to the rear, it's the tire. IF the noise stays in the front, it's likely a bad wheelbearing, right front.
