Default Help! strange noise from rear of car.

about two weeks ago i installed h-sports on my 1.8T, also installed new rear links(had plastic and went to oem metal ones). my problem is that when i take a right turn with most of my weight transfered to one side in a hard right turn or at 60 or more on the highway in medium right turns to ones you need to hold i hear this noise. the nosie is like someone dragging a fork on the pavement. but i never hear it going left. looked at the h-sports checked all bolts all fine. the only thing i found that looked differnt was that the right rear link seems to sag down a little. in other words is that the back of the bushing seems to be lower. the driverside one is staight. is this one broken? can i get better ones to co-exist with the h-sports? i also have heard this noise coming from the rear like a setteling noise. are my rears shot? are the h-sport set on stiff to much for stock suspension?

Default Sounds like you may be barking up the wrong tree. When's the last time you had wheelbearings done?

could just be a coincidence with the H-Sports, no? I have also had the problem of the droplink touching the axleshaft when flexed to the limit. Your axle is painted, is there a small section that has been worn off?

Default do you have the links on the same setting on the bar i.e both on soft or stiff

setting? Also maybe loosen both of the sway links at the bar and then retighten

But did you re-torque them under load? i.e. with the car on the ground?

Tightened under load? Grease fitting hitting the muffler?

Default My fitting occasionally hits at start up...it's real close.

you can do a visual to see if it's close enough to hit. Perhaps there is some marks to identify contact. I've been toying with removing the fitting and putting a plug in it....installing the fitting temporarily if I need to lube...
