HELP!, sunroof is stuck fully open... unable to manually close it.
Ok here is the deal. At first, the sun roof was fully closed and stuck closed. I took apart the easily accesible cover panels and removed the glass "roof" itself. To my suprise, I find that the plastic sliders/guides, are cracked, snapped, and stuck in the groves. So i clean it out and voila, the sunroof opens without a problem. BUT, i cant close it now. It seems to be jammed up on something. I've tried to take off the headliner with no success. Does anyone have any ideas, or ever had this problem????
TIA and any input helpful. ty.
BTW, this is the 97' sunroof if it makes a difference.

Uhh...that sounds like your problem ;-) Seriously though, have you tried manually cranking it? There's an S shaped metal tool attached to the fuse box cover for this purpose. Good luck
