Default Help! Trouble starting

When I started my car today it seemed to hesitate for 2 or 3 seconds and sounded like it was gonna stall out but didn't. After a couple seconds it idled and drove fine. What could be the problem?

Default Did the car sit a long time prior to starting, or did you move it prior?

sometimes a car can give you a little hestitation if you've just moved it a few feet.

Drive around for a little like normal and see if its repeatable. If so, any of the following could be a cause:

low battery
fouled plug
malfunctioning coil pack
bad O2 sensor(s) (possibly?)

Default Re: Help! Trouble starting

I had a similar problem. The car would stall or shudder when i started her up cold. My dealership reset idle settings and that didn't fix it. Their next suggestion was to replace the throttle housing. I'm out of warranty and they were quoting something like 500-700 bucks. I don't think so! Took the car to a local porsche and audi mechanic. They took apart the throttle body and cleaned it all up for me for 70 bucks. Told me that they clean it every 30000 but obviously dealership doesn't. To cut a long story short, this fixed the problem completley and teh car has NEVER driven so good!
