Default Here you go pic ******...pics of my half-a$$ basslink t install: 56k stay away!

Okay, so I bought this sub thinking it would fit...it doesn't. I have about 12" of space between the sub and the seats. The sub itself is only about 7" deep. I know this is a half-a$$ install, but it has to do for now until I figure out a way to permanently mount it without issue and for optimal space.

I ran a wire from the battery to a small groove that I made in the top of my ecu box and through the pre-made hole in the firewall into the car. I only had to remove the one trim piece that is next to the dead pedal in order to get the wire under there. I was able to lift the rest of the trim pieces with my finger and slide the wire under (both power and later the bass control remote (which I stuck on the trim piece next to my seat with double sided tape). I pulled the rear seat up and folded the backs down and ran the wires under. I grounded to the rear drivers side mat cargo hook bolt. Tapped into the rear speakers, and bingo...I had bass. I am thinking about making a full tech write-up for this, so that is why I'm keeping this brief and not detailed. The same procedure works, of course, for the normal basslink.

And just out of curiousity...in the pic with the rear deck speakers...which one is the remote turn on lead that I can tap into so I can turn the sub on and off with the radio?

Default I just wanted it to work. Like I said...it's temporary. And it won't go back any further :( ....

...that's why it still looks like it does. I don't know where I want to put it. But I couldn't as well just have it rolling around in the back either.

Default Tony use the above advice when you make a closeout panel..

.Get some speaker carpet and woodpaneling for closing that gap above the speakers. That would cleanup a lot of the crap.

Default It sounds great! There is a ton of bass....I don't see why anyone would want any more...

..in fact, it sounds really good. I'm not sure if it's because of the new style of enclosure or not, but it's very clean tight bass with absolutely no distortion.

Default I was thinking about that. Actually thinking about making one that fits exactly to the sides of the

car as well, because it bulges out in a couple of areas. We'll see what I can come up with.
