Default wut my friend just told me...

Audi
to know the reason of the four circles, ya gotta know how audi started

1885: Wanderer founded
1899: Horch founded
1907: DKW founded
1909: Audi founded

1932: The above metioned companies fused to Auto Union AG, four rings symbolizing then four brands

1949: Changed to a GmbH (Limited Liability Company)
1969: Purchase of the NSU Motorenwerke AG founded in 1873 as NSU. New name: Audi NSU Auto Union AG
1985: Today's name: Audi AG

Default Audi, Horch, DKW and Wanderer formed Auto Union AG in 1932...

This was the fist appearance of the 4 rings logo, originally with the individual logos of the 4 companys inside each ring.

Default then he told me this was the REAL story (or wut he heard)...interesting.

the real story behind the Audi symbol is back in the day (pre-WWII) there was a racing series called Auto Union. The symbol was the 4 rings because there were 4 car manufactures competing in it. Audi did so well they evetually took the symbol and used it as thier own.

2 out of the 4 was audi and porsche, can u figure out the other 2?

Default Um, Ferdinand Porsche didn't start building and racing his own cars until...

much AFTER WW2. In the pre war years he was an engineer on the Fuerer's "peoples car" you know, the VOLKSWAGEN (original beetle).

Default It stands for...

"Oooo, you're chipped. Well we can't fix that (insert random malfunction here) problem under warranty.", says the service manager.
