Default Hi what to choose on paintscratch.com to paint a driver's fender?

I probably need 1 can of paint and 1 can of clearcoat? Or should i do two cans of clearcoat and just buff the shine into it. Then I assume it'll need a couple waxes or something and can go on the car.

Default Have you ever painted a panel before? It's not as easy as it seems...

if you want it to look even remotely like the rest of the car, have a pro do it. blending a small repair is cake compared to a whole panel.

Default How bad could it possibly be? I have gun and compressor.

I would possibly just eyeball the match of the new fender vs the old one after removing it from the car, and watch if it dries to come out the same.

Default Well, matching the color is only the half of it.. How good are you with the gun?

Do you have any good auto supply shops in your area? one which sells paint? Better to buy local, see if they can match your paint better.. I've done a little painting, it's a PITA.

Default Whats your color again. I hear that Silver is easy to repaint . . .

Honestly I will be painting whatever I need to paint. Got a quote on my hatch dent and it was 1k to fix it. I am proficient with bondo and know the lines of my car enough to tell if its right or not, and as long as I can remove the panel I am painting (the bently will tell me how to do that I hope) I will do it myself. if it doesnt work I will get a body shop to do it, but honestly I am expected to know how to do this ****e.

Default It's silver, why, seems i've heard silver is the hardest to match.

Honestly, 2 days work with the right light and the ex-fender to match it, should come out fine. Just a lot of effort needs to be put into it to comeout proper.
