HID 5000K (4300K osram tinted) VS 6000K philips ultinon.. tinted bulb???
Was thinking of getting the 4100K philips xenon kit in my A4. Talked with a friend this morning and he told me to put ultinon (6000K) and 35watt like in his 2001 A6.
He claimed, it is 'bright' enough.
The 4100K would have been very noticeably 'yellow' for my A4 ecodes.
So need clarification.
Should i:
1. stick with initial choice: stage1 (4100K)?
2. go to stage 2(6000K ultinon)
3. take the middle ground: buy 5000K that is a tinted 4300K bulb form SPP, haviong the bluish white looks maybe nice
Is having a bulb tinted will significantly shorten the life or caused overheat? Any ones outthere done use this 5000K before? Any pic?
For the mean time, not going to do stage 3.
Dont want to get really bright..afraid to be pulled over by the cops.
Thanks guys....

Re: do NOT get tinted bulbs. I have a 6000k setup that is extremely bright..
thanks guys..
well, yeah i heard it b4..tinted is shorter life.
"audimods" ,
Your 5400K xernacs, are they more to yellow or to white?...what ballast u r using?
"blake"
your 6000K setup, use 50 watt ballast i guess?
that is why it is 'BRIGHT' :P
i am avoiding stage 3 now, too bright for me..
afraid of cops..
(small town in indiana, cops have nothing to do..
seat belts enforcements and others are common here).

extreme? yes i know. but light output is better with the philips porjectors vs. the valeo. drive next to a s2000 at night.

can any projector fit in any projector housing?
how much modification was needed? when you do that, does it all of a sudden take the D2S bulb that you would use in the original vehicle (S2000)? would some hella projectors fit in our valeo ecodes? tia.
