Default Did you get the kit from the seller in that link?

I tried getting some info from him, what a pain in the *** that was. He didnt answer any of my questions after 4 emails back and forth. The only thing I could get out of him is how much and where to send the money.

Default yes, good seller actually. I emailed him and he essentially gave me the same info from

that post. Kit's nice / new etc. easy install etc. The seller shipped ASAP but no communication...maybe he doesn't know much english or anything about the product, i don't know.
I just paypal'd him 196 and included my phone number, address, which bulbs I had (H7) and the kit I wanted (6000K)
A few days later, they came.
I found a group buy on some other forum by googling his email, and I see he sells them on ebay. (hidseller)

What did you do to seal the hole you drilled in the back of the bulb cover?

Default I used the grommet that was attached to the HID bulb wires...

I then drilled another hole under where I put the ballast to run the two thin wires to the factory H7 harness. I put some Liquid rubber sealer around the hole and put the new connector on the wires.
If that makes sense. I new I should have taken a picture or two.

Default I dunno

the only philips parts I've seen on audis are bulbs... and even then osram usually makes the xenon capsules.

I've seen the HID components of the B5 A4, D2 A8 pre & post facelift, C5 A6, C6 A6, D3 A8, 8N TT. They are typically from one of 4 mfg sources. AL / automotive lighting, bosch, hella or valeo.

The TT uses bosch headlamps with AL (french) xenon components.

Default the sellers in Cali but the kit came from Hong Kong. I was skeptical, but it / he turned

out to be OK. His feedback is good on ebay etc. Pretty easy to install.
I was very surprised how quick I got them especially since they were shipped from HK. (only a few days from purchase)
He notified me that they shipped fedex a day after purchase but didn't give any tracking info. I installed them that night and they look great...what a difference.
