Default Hit or skip? *EDIT* More muffler pics

Having a vendor of mine build me a custom exhaust. Should I go 2.25" or 2.5"? He's going to build it w/ an 18" glass pack in the center and I'm going to supply him with a Magna flow muffler. All he's charging me is $150. Later on I'll get a down pipe but for now this is way cheaper than a full system from anyone out there. Or should I save my pennies for a name brand system. Oh yeah, he's building it out of stainless. The muffler has 3.5" twin polished tips.

Default If he is already making the pipes for you, can you request

him to also make the DP portion?? I went with 2.5" for my custom exhaust, which I think will be good for future upgrade; 2.25" just seems restrictive to me.

As for muffler, how much is that Magnaflow w/ tips one goin to cost you?? I think they are tend to be louder compare to other more common mufflers (APR, borla) so you might consider just getting muffler from them instead.

oh yea, GO 3.5" tips =D

Default What are downpipes running?

$200 - $250? Still keeps me way ahead on price I figure. I liked the looks of that muffler too. Not ricey, twin tip.

He could probably make a DP for it too. I kind of like the sound of Magnaflow's.

Default Note that all the Magnaflow mufflers with tips have a 2.25" inlet. I'm going to go Magnaflow

too and will have the muffler shop bump up the inlet as much as possible.

Here are the two Magnaflow mufflers I was considering (check their website):
