Still NO ill effects from the bov. wicked sound...yes. i got an enthusiastic response from these guys in an explorer one day while i was PSHTing through traffic. they said they loved the car and thought the sound was the coolest ever. than they asked if it was an S4 (bah!)
I finally got through a tank of gas, and it appears my mpg went down a bit. i usually get about 21+ mpg, i was under 19.5 this last tank, not 100% sure this is due to the bov, but it probably is.
The only issue I'm not completely happy with is the warm-up process with the bov. I usually don't rev over 3k while warming, but if i shift that low, instead of the psht! i get a flutter sound from the valve(i've read this is damaging to the turbo). so, the only way i've found that prevents this is right before i shift, I leave my foot steady on the throttle, leveling out any boost there might be, than when i shift, the valve doesn't actuate. just slightly annoying, but i'll deal with it.
i'm still not sure if i've got it adjusted tight enough; i left it slightly loose so it didn't choke the turbo out, but I don't know if i'm leaking boost. my clutch is bad, so WOT's are not an option right now. it won't be til i have my new clutch installed that I'll know for sure.

other than that, i have not a single complaint about this. which makes me wonder why all these people say they are so bad? maybe on the newer dbw's or something, but wouldn't that mean that they used to work fine, but not after dbw went in? as opposed to them always being bad. i dunno?

it included a 'flange' adapter to fit the valve to the charge hose, and an aluminum plug for the return. that's it...just attached it to the charge line, connected the vacuum, and plugged the return. it took longer to jack the car up than it did to install the valve.
