I've noticed a slight (intermittent) rattle in my hood recently. If I apply a small amount of pressure to the front of the hood (just above the rings) the rattling stops. I think it's the hood latch but I can't figure out how to stop the rattling.
I plan to have the dealer fix it when I bring it in for 15k service but I thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced/resolved this.

Hey Tony,
I had the same rattle before. At first I thought it may be my A! grill, but then I noticed that when I opened the hood and pushed on my grill again, the noise wasn't there. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was the latch under the hood that was loose. I was taking my car in for its 16000km service anyway, so I had the dealer tighten it up for me. No more rattle.
Hope this helps.

James Wu
A4 Club of Vancouver
1998 Black/Onyx 1.8tqa

A4 Club of Vancouver
