Inside handle seems to pop the hood fine. Walk around and pull on the front release and lift, and nothing happens. Front release moves forward like normal but cannot lift the hood. No signs of damage to front end. Not even a scratch. Car is a 2001. Any ideas? Haven't tried going under the car yet. Waiting till I am at home with ramps and have some daylight left, probably Saturday. No engine problems, noticed it when I went to check the oil.

i'd just take it to the dealer considering you're well under warranty. Let them sort it out. =o)

the thing that lifts the hood automatically once u pull out the front release broke so the hood would not lift. the hood is pretty damn heavy compared to other hoods - so you might have the same problem.

dealer fixed it with no problems.
