Needless to say, this is a bit dangerous. I figured it might be simply the fuse, but the french manual I got does not say which fuse is associated with the horn. It's an 1999 A4.

Would anybody know?

The interior fuse panel is located at the left of the instrument panel.

Thanks. I know that (althought it took me a while to find it, but of all those 30 fuses which one is associated with the horn?

the manual gives a list, but the horn appears nowhere in that list.

your fusebox should have some small fuses on top and larger oned on the bottom. excactly 3 rows of large ones. the horn fuse (#40) is 3rd fuse from top in the third row (counting from the front of the vehicle). i believe it is a 25A fuse.

Thank you! I don't have that table, and the manual did not say "horn" anywhere. So fuse 40 it is.
