Default Horrible brake squeal... please help!!

Someone please help,

So I recently installed some new brakes, PBR Ceramic Brake Pads (from ecs) in the front on an old set of rotors... They worked fine for about a day, then I started to hear very slight squeal when coming to a stop, between 15-0 mph. The next weekend I bought some OEM replacement rotors for the front, and installed them. I believe I bedded them properly, I applied an anti-squeal spray to the backs of the pads before re-installation, and now the noise is worse than ever. From about 45-0 it makes a very loud high pitched squeal.

For the bedding in procedure I drove around and stopped from 45-10 about 6 or 7 times until the brakes started to fade, and then I drove around for a 1/2 hour and used them minimally. I parked the car for 8 hours or so, and still, horrible noise.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated?

Default Well, you did the bedding correctly. You might want to check that the caliper springs aren't bent

and that the pads are seated correctly. Good luck!

Default Are those...

Are those the small springs that hold the pad to the outside of the caliper? I would assume those are extremely cheap to replace?

Default They look like a bowtie (sort of) that holds the caliper together. You pry them off with

a screwdriver. Yes, they are cheap to replace.

Default How would i know if my pads are not seated properly?

They are facing the right way, and when I installed, everything seemed tight?

Default Chamfer the edges of the pads

That should resolve the issue
