Default Horrible gas milage and missing at Idle

Just recently got my 96 A4 2.8 Quattro on the road for the first time.

Bad miss at idle, warm or cold. I'm getting about 200km to 50 liters around town as well.

Got my vag-com cable today and did a scan. Any suggestions where to start?

Thanks guys for helpin a newb...

Car also drives alright, can't physically feel any misfiring except at idle, might be down on power but I've got nothing to compare it to as it's the only one i've ever driven...

Plugs look alright. But I guess I'll replace em tomorrow anyways...

for gas mileage I'd check the following - sparks, air filter, tire pressure, oil and use synthetic. ..runs a lot smoother!, check valve covers if you got any leaks. I did all those items plus a rear wheel bearing and went from 23 -> 27 highway. I assume city improved as well.

Plan on doing fuel filter, lower oil pan gasket and using a transmission kit from Blauparts. Now I'm thinking I can get it above 27

Done the plugs. They looked fine. Air filter is good.

Tested the ignitor and it works great. Wires tested out great as well.

Calculated my fuel milage a couple times now.

25 liters per 100km or 11mpg.

So since my misfires are only on cylinders 4/5/6 (driver side bank) I've prettymuch eliminated the ignition system being at fault.

The car has 250,000km on it.

Maybe the driver side cat has failed? What else could cause this miss/horrible milage?
