Default how to add preamps to the factory head unit

Anyone know where to get such a device that will allow one to have preamps w/ the factory head unit so a amp can be installed?

Thanks,

Default you need a high-lo converter which will tap into the rear deck speakers to add the amp and sub...

check out the tech section and do a search...you'll find it.

Default There is a better way...depends on what he wants to use the signal for though.

He can STFA for more info.

He needs a preamp output, not an input.

Default I just did this yesterday

I have the bose setup so I have the amp in the trunk. I just cut the connectors off of a set of RCA cables, and spliced them into the wire bundle before the amp. Sounds great, although I had to be an inline RCA line noise isolator. Let me know if you need more help.

Most newer amps have speaker level inputs.

Default I hooked mine directly to the rear speaker leads...

into the high input of my amp. Works like a charm.
