How can I reset the service reminder on a 2000?
I had my 16K service yesterday at Rector Motors and they forgot to reset the reminder. Is it something I can easily do myself or do I need to drive all the way up there again?

I didn't see it in the manual, but I'll try the tech suggestion. Looks pretty easy.

The tech document does NOT work on the 2000. Correction included.
But I finally found the correct procedure in the manual and it was different and it worked.
The correct proceedure it to hold down the odometer reset button, turn on the key, and while the service reminder is displaying, PRESS the other stalk under the tach. The display will change to "Service in 8100 miles"

That doesn't work, see above.

8100mi? I thought the intervals were 10k, 5k, or 7.5k depending...
I know the interval gets programmed via the VAG tool in km, not mi and that this might cause confusion if the service department resets it. For example they set it to 6200mi/10,000km, not 10,000mi/16,000km.
But 8100mi...that's 13000km...?? Does not seem to match up with anything.

It was always 8Kmi on the 2000 2.8. It even says that in the car's manual.
