I recently purchased a 1997 A4 1.8t quattro 5sp and I am trying to sort out all of the modifications it has. How can I tell if I have a K04 or a K03 turbo? The tag on the turbo reads
530 988 0015
K0 015A15306

Can anyone help?

if your car is stock, you have K03

It's not stock. I have only had it for a month and I keep finding more. It has Scorpion exhaust, RC injectors, K&N air filter and a GIAC chip with a tag that has PES K04 INJ hand written on it. The previous owner said nothing about a turbo or injector upgrade. I think I may have injectors and a chip setup for a K04 but I may actually have a K03. Switched back for some reason. I discovered these items while trying to find out why it runs way too rich on hard acceleration.

sorry i was thinking of other weaker tuning routes...hmm i still havent put inthe 96 program...figured id better not spend the $ on gas when i need the clutch alot more than a lil uummphh in my car...btw, my cars in need of some HIDs whatchya got?
