Sorry Woody, I don't recall offhand. I'm sure it would turn up in a search here or on ross-tech's site. I've got In1 flashing too, just waiting to get my hands on a buddy's vag-com. Good luck

The service indicator uses the following channels for pre-98 cars only:
05-----dist. to next oil change in 1000 km
06-----dist. to next major service (interval 1) in 1000 km
07-----time to interval 1 in days
08-----time to interval 2 in days
You should check all for channels, any channel that reads 00 or close needs to be set.
Using the adaptation function of whatever tool you have, go the Channel 05. In the data window, enter the distance IN 1000 KILOMETERS ( miles x 1.609 ) to the next oil change.
Example: it's 15000 to the next minor oil change, 15000 x 1.609 = 24135, so you enter 24 in the data window. Save the data.
Go to channel 06 and enter the distance to the next major in the same way (if it needs to be done).
Go to channel 07, and enter the number of days to the interval 1 service (if it needs to be done ) , entering the number of days times 10. Save the data.
Example: If you are trying to enter 110 days, enter 11.
Go to channel 08 and do the same for service interval 2 .
That's about all there is to it. Remember that you are entering kilometers, not miles, no matter how your speedometer is calibrated, and that you are entering days x 10.
IF you never want to do this again, set all four channels to 99. That will ensure that you won't see the alert again for 61000 miles, or 990 days.
Here's my disclaimer. It worked for me according to data I got from the Bentley manual. If you break something (or I mistyped something), it's not my fault! Try at your own risk.
