I am in the process of replacing my outter boot. The front axle is out. During the process, two of the inner CV ***** were out. So any experience of putting them back in? Thanks

if they were already out w/o messing with it, replace the axle.
If they fell out while working on it, you need to kinda twist the inside carrier (ring w/ slots in it) and the inner floating piece the axle splines lock into until you can pop them back in.

They fell out as I was pulling the axle out. The inner CV and boot are all good. I just wanna put them all back. 6 steel ***** are all out, not in the boot.

out of curiosity and somewhat of an accident, mine came out too. it was tricky to get them in but it definitely can be done. you'll just have to play with it for a while. it like... only goes back in a certain way.
