how is the dealer going to fix this broken exhaust hanger weld?

Default how is the dealer going to fix this broken exhaust hanger weld?
weld it? new muffler section? ...its still under warranty

Default Probably new exhaust section...
As you might already know, Audi doesn't sell the entire exhaust as one piece...they sell them in pieces that have to be welded together.

Good lawd! You've got a lot more rust/grime down there than I had on my 00 1.8T after 48K miles!

i dont know how they would fix it, but you should let them try. That happened to my car and i didnt notice it, and now i have to get a whole new exhaust system...... damn.

Default Same thing happened on my '98. Mutiple exhaust shops told me that it could not be welded.
What a shame, Looks like Ill have to upgrade.

Default I'm probably jumping in on the Borla GB but figure I'll get this fixed first
hopefully the dealer replaces it. "new" parts are good... even if they are stock and sitting in the garage.
