How did your insurance company value your chip after total loss?

Some insurance policies require that that you notify them of mods....
...and then they can cancel your insurance or raise your rates. If this is the case, davenaff may be dropped even though the accident is not his fault.

I just swiped mine. They never noticed. Car was completly totaled though.
I wouldnt recommend that. Silvers idea is best. Not sure where you can get an old non-chipped ECU. Ask around.

When I was in high school, I was hit in my VW Rabbit. Totalled. So I called the...
...adjuster and asked if I could take a few things off the car...you know, like the radio and stuff. He reluctantly agreed. We pulled the drive train. They never said a word.
