Just drive it easy for a while - it'll go away. You significantly shortened it's life tho.

Default Got a little right foot happy didnt you. But your clutch will be fine

I smoked my stock clutch well over 20 times. Before we had to make a clutch for my car since it was a dbw.

Default Re: how do i know if my clutch is toasted?

The same thing happened to my 1998.5 A4QM after I had the APR chip installed. It happened (2) times where the car didn't go and the revs went to the redline. The clutch had a horrible smell for about 2 days. For me, if I want to launch the car hard, I would let out the clutch almost to the very top, rev the engine to about 2500 and release (don't drop) the clutch. As the clutch grabs then apply more gas.
