Default i hope i'm not mistaking

but if you can see that any valves don't touch the camshafts, that means they are bent. I don't beleive you need to take the heads off to see that. I'm not too tech savvy, though, sorry.

More likely that you forgot to reconnect something...?

Default nope.. this is about the third time ive done this. about a month ago the serpentine belt came off

the tensioner and got tangled up in the timing belt. i took it out and thoght that i had aligned the timing belt correctly, but when i tried to start it i could hear the valves hitting. so today i realigned the timing perfectly, but it wont start up.

Default If that's the case, I would certainly try this before cranking the engine even 1 more time.

No need to do more damage than what's already been done.

Default do you have a vag-com? if so turn the key to on and hook it up.

if your timing was off, your cam sensors would throw a DTC but not a CEL.

Default um, that's not good. did you rotate the motor by hand first?

is it even trying to start? like coughing on a cylinder to two? If it is then I'd say the electric is fine & the head is hurting. Either way I hope you have lots of Advil around.
