How do I remove the drawer that the ash tray sits in...

to get the ash tray out, you have to:
1.) remove stereo (have dealer use special tool)
2.) unclip top 2 clips of HVAC controls
3.) unclip bottom 2 clips of HVAC controls - trick: you can't see them, but they are directly down from the top ones. Gotta use small screwdriver to pry up the HVAC controls and pull them out.
4.) now you can see the bolts to remove for the ashtray. Unbolt those two and out it comes

on my 99.5 you just remove the trim around the stereo.
there are two bolts that attach the ashtray assembly to the frame
you can get to them without removing the stereo.
