Default How do I stop the power surge when the electric fan turns on?

Hi guys, I'm running the electric fan kit with a derale fan controler and I want to eliminate the power surge that occurs when the fan cycle comes on and I want the fan to run on after the car is shut off. How would I go about doing this?

Thanks

Default Power surge is due to the load being put on the alt... you need that to happen and IIRC it

can not be eliminated at all.

You can run the fan through a relay and hook it directly to the battery so it will kick on if the temp sensor calls for it even if the car is shut off.
