How do i tell if my AC isnt working because of AC compresor being shot or no frion??

check the pressure on the low side return AC line (get a pressure tester from autozone for cheap)

Default Get VAG-COM to run an output test on the CC.
If the compressor doesn't engage during the test, then try jumping it.

If it works then the problem is not with the compressor.
