How do you find the number of a certain B5 that actually made it into the US?

they are inadmissible to the u.s.
your only chance of getting one in (not at all legal) = buy a totaled s4 (that has a clear title)... then register that car and use it for the rs4.
the legal way is to have all the modifications done to make it u.s. spec; but that costs mucho $$$$$
You're going to have so many problems if you do it illegally and can face jail time + losing the car if you're ever caught
