The right rear drones something awful, and the car only has 46k miles on it! I thought it was my snow tires, but it does it on my summer SP8000 tires. Usually, a bad bearing will get louder as you load it going around a curve or corner.

Default i know almost all my control arms are shot, and my tie rod ends, but lately....inside

when i hit the breaks i hear a deep moan coming from the front, i thought maybe the bearings were going too

Default That actually could be tires. I had a set that got louder as they wore....

They got really loud when I was braking -- I was worried it was wheel bearings. I put my other wheels/tires on and the noise went away completely. Worth checking.

Badly worn suspension components can cause some bizarre wear on tires, get them fixed.

Default Usually a sound that gets progressively louder...under load...a thump/thump/thump sound

Yes, I have replaced the right front on an A4..and the left front on an S4.
