How do you remove the Glovebox on a 1988-1999 B5 Avant?

Trying to snake some wiring in through the firewall via the A/C lines grommet and can't figure out how to get the glovebox to drop past it's stops to get better access behind it. That and the plastic panel below the Blower/Glovebox has stumped me as well!
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

push against the springs on both sides and lower the front down, you will dump everything in the box. After that you can get at the screws behind it to remove it (or you might find you have enough room already to do what you want).

it comes off just like the fuse box cover. you'll then be able to see the support arm for the door. it has a small roller at the top end.you need to pull it away from the door to get the roller free . the other side is the same a small screwdriver will help.
