I need to change finger plates in 99.5 A4. How do you take the door trim off other than taking out the screws in the handle and in the top corners of the door?

Please help.

Well how else were you going to do it? I removed the screw to get the black handle piece out, then removed the two or three screws behind. I didnt bother removing the whole door piece. I just ripped my old finger plates out with a screwdriver. Just snapped the brackets. Popped the new ones in and called it done.
