In theory it shouldn't drop off at all since engine atmosphere is created by turbo

Not much, but it does take more revs before things are fully spooled up.

Default this is one question I can answer with "authority"...

I live in Canada and I drive a praticular highway that at points is 8000" ASL (above sea level) a couple of times a year(Also the highest highway in canada in the mountains). The first few times I made this trek was in an 87 Cry. lebaron GTS. THis car would actually stall on teh high parts of this highway and I would have to drive at 20 kph bucking and growning untill the elevation decreased. Then I had a 1995 Cry, intrepid, wow. what a car.. but no problems at the high altitude but it sure became gutless. Then I had a 1996 honda civic.. also gutless at hight altitudes, then a 1997 Honda accord which actually did not to bad. But,, my new A4 ... I cant say I even noticed a power loss but I did notice a huge increas in mpg,.. guess its much less form drag through that thin air. So, to answer your question, no power loss at high altitudes.
