how does this new super K04 compare to the T28 or stage 3?

The NEUSPEED SuperK04 turbo features a larger compressor wheel and machined housing compared to a standard Borg Warner K04 turbo.

I'm tired of having APR chipped cars from VW's to A6's come through here with silly programming errors causing checksum faults and things.
I found the Stage 3 kit impressively strong and smooth. But whenever I post anything that could even remotely be construed as "stage-3 bashing" it's an instant flamefest.
Had enough of that. I get badmouthed in "other" places and these people don't even know me. I'm just an Audi fan like the rest of us here, and I go out of my way to help people with their cars as much as I can.
When I give opinions and advice, they are based on my personal experiences.

dynos it and runs it at the strip. If you aren't in a hurry, maybe there are other tuners with some other options on the horizon.

Why that is, I can't say.
I *think* neuspeed also programs conservatively, which makes it hard to guess what it'll really do. It might be best to hold off and see what the results are once a few people have tried it.
The real question is this:
What are you going to use the car for? How much can you realistically invest into the car?
You need to decide the answer to these questions so we can give you the best advice.

I really dont want a full race car for my daily driver nor do i want to spend 5 grand, in the end I figured i was going to end up with a K04 the super k04 just seems like a nice bonus for the extra 500.

I sent Neuspeed an email a few weeks back. THey are developing the SUper K04 for pre 2001.5's. Hopefully they can stand by their supposed dyno numbers. This would be a great alternative to a Stage 3. YOu are just like me...I don't want to have a HP powerhouse, but just enough to get a thrill on a spirited drive or burn my friend's stock S2k =P. With a modified K04 that can push out around 260hp with low end torque and a faster spool up...definitely worth taking a look at.
