Just make sure you let it cool down completely, or you'll burn your lips really bad.

Default I have a 2.8, but my one brief experience with a 1.8T was most enjoyable...

...my car got in a three way with two other 1.8Ts - but I dont think either of them enjoyed it. (I was a little too much for them if you know what I mean.)

Yeah, you two know who you are...

There are really several reasons a turbo can fail, but usually it is because of an oil issue, so like Ken said, be sure to let your car cool down and this is especially important after spirited driving. Even more so if your chipped because most of them boost the turbo's past their intended specs.

I wouldn't say that there are a lot of turbo's that fail, but there have been a few reports. I guess some just get the rotten eggs as far as I can tell.
