How to get more power to my 97 2.8 Quattro? (need help guys!)
What I dont understand is how did they get another 20 hp from the 97 2.8- 98 2.8 A4's.
Also, I'm not looking to race anyone, but I figure another 30 hp would give me some better low end power. Torque is fine on the car right now, but do you guys have any suggestions on how to get 30 real hp on my 97 A4? Thanks!

98+ 2.8's are 30 valves, yours is a 12v. That's where the power comes from.
I also have a 12v and there isn't much you can do unless you are willing to spend lots of $$$.
I just recently put in a new full manifold-back exhaust and I can really feel an increase in power over the stock one and it didn't cost that much. You could also port out your throttle body, which will only set you back about $250 and others say it gives you more low end power.
