Default How good quality of audio sound will I get if I change ...(More)

my factory stero(Delta) to Sony CDX-M620 (52W X 4) without adding any thing else? Anyone has suggestions? I really wanna know if it's worth paying for it. I know it will be nice to add like amp, speaker, boom, etc., but no money. So, how about only the receiver?
Thank you

Changing just the head unit WILL give you better sound, but how noticeable when you compare to moving to an aftermarket amp will probably be negligable. Putting all your speakers to a good amp will be the largest improvement with 1 shot of money.

Default It's the least effective thing you can change, especially without changing anything else....

My system won an award for (1st place-novice class) with the OE head unit. Of course speakers, amp, & subwoofer were new. Put your money where it will do the most good.

Default Leave the stock deck and add an amp and sub....

The stock speakers actually sound decent when powered by 50W

If you're on a budget:
Get a nice high quality amp with good specs: (50x4 RMS @ 4ohms, 100x4 @ 2ohms, high/low crossovers on each pair of channels)
Run the Left Front and Left Rear on one channel, the Right Front and Right Rear on another channel, and bridge the remaining two channels to a single 10" or 12" sub.
That will give you 50W per speaker, and 200W to the sub. More than enough for a beginner system, and you'll be amazed at what a single sub can add to the overall effect.

Default 45w pioneer amp and 10" bazzoka bass tube to stock system...sounds very decent

i was impressed how much of a difference just adding these 2 little things did.....they were cheap so i had it run to the stock system...
