Default How hard is it to exend O2 sensor lines?

Forced motion sells a 3" DP which uses a HFC at bolted to the end, not in front to the turbo. So you would need welding skills of a shop to put on an exhaust aft of it, and you would need to run O2 lines down to that new cat location...

Default Easy.

I think they just have two wires going into and out of the O2 sensors. I would probably request that it be soldered and wrapped properly, so you won't have a problem with the connections in the future, but that's it. I think the S4 guys do this pretty regularly, if they have aftermarket downpipes installed. Not all downpipes use the factory locations for the O2 sensors, so they need to splice in an extension.

Default No harder 'n it would be for Radio Shack to extend some speaker wire.

Hahaha, I couldn't help myself.

Just cut'n splice and use a high quality heat shrink to make it water tight. I'd cover the ends of the heat shrink with some silicone sealer after you shrink it. I'd also solder it instead of using splice connections.

Default It is very easy but there are 3 wires(red, white, black i think).....

if you want you can get O2 simulators that (obviously) simulate the O2 signal, so that you can run no cat without throwing a code.

Default Yeah the 3 wire sensor on our cars is exactly the same as any other Bosch O2 sensor.....

I know for a fact that AMS has them for like $15 and Casper ELectronics does also. I imagine just about any aftermarket parts store can get them. Or if you want I can pick one up for you.

Default okay mr smarty-pants!...

which sounds good to you:

1. Purchase a Random HFC and <insert name brand exhaust>. Figure 920-1200 depending on name brand (leaning toward GHL or Forge/Milltek)

2. Buy the Forced Motion 3" DP with HFC...install...extend O2 sensors...go to local exhaust shop, have them weld in a Magnaflow 2.5" or 2.75" w/ resonator and muffler. The FM is 450 with the cat, i believe, i figure 400 from an exhaust shop gets me out and boosting for ~850-900?

Cheers,
Sameer

Default Would depend on the shop before I'd go with #2. If you can't get quality work by someplace that.....

..WANTS to do it,I'd go with #1.
