Tone is from the wood, not the finish.

The main problem with German door locks are...

I used to work for a towing company and I had to break into many Bimmers and MBZ. Because the locks are vaccum activated and not your basic lever, you have to fight against the vaccum to get the door to open. That is once you find the correct thingie in the door on which to pull.
