Default How hard is it to replace control arms yourself?

I can do brakes and most other maintenance myself. Are there any special tools required? THis CREAKING is driving me crazy and I don't want to spend $800 to get it fixed.
I know I can get the parts for @$300.

Any advise?

Lower control arms: $125 & $159
Upper control arms: $75 & $80

Double Z Motors

Default Re: How hard is it to replace control arms yourself...i would guess

Its probably hard unless you have access to a lift of some sort and you will probably need an alignment afterwards. An air compressor with the correct impact wrench and sockets would be good to have. Its probably not worth the hours and busted knuckles to do it yourself. I suggest looking up the procedure first and then decide for yourself, a service manual should give you an idea of the process.

Are you replacing just one? Or all four?

Default And even cheaper prices here. I dealt with them and it was very pleasent.

I got two lower arms for about 80 bucks each. I had them installed and mechanic said they fit just like oem, I did not even need an alignment.

Redline Cars.
