Ok...so I'm driving down N. Broad st. during rush hour, heading south towards the vine st. expressway, hitting every light until Cecil B Moore Ave. The light was red, and there was this pack of people who just got off the 3 Bus heading west, crossing the street to catch the C bus heading south....unfortunately, they weren't fast enough, because as soon as they got to the middle of the street (forgot to mention, during rush hour....southbound lanes go from 2-3, making broad st. a 5-lane mini-highway), the southbound lanes got the green light.

One of these pedestrians TRY's to run for the bus anyway.....she ain't going to make it because:

1) She's BIG, Nell Carter Big
2) HAS three lanes to cross
3) light just turned green
4) the bus was about to pull off anyway

so, as soon as she tries to jaywalk into my lane, I honk my horn and sloowwly pull away from the light, slow enough to have a brief conversation

her "why didn't you let me cross to get the bus"

me, pulling away "because I've got the green light"

even IF I let her crossed, she would have either been hit by a car in the middle lane, or the bus that was pulling out.
