Default Thx. What about that "emission" work?

What about that "emission" work they were talking about? Can my injectors have carbon or whatever on them, or are they just trying to sell me something I don't need?

So there's no recommended mileage/time interval for these fluids? All based on judgment?

Default Yes I have seen this personally on an older Corvette (before SS pistons) and my '86 BMW

I'm afraid I didn't take pictures as digital cameras didn't exist...

As for air in the system, no system is perfectly bleed and all brake fluid will have some suspended bubbles.

Wate will be pulled in through the vented cap as is dispursed through the system by the hydroscopic nature of brake fluid.

It seems you only want to disagree, how about posting year of experience and related articles?

Default moisture isnt the reason aggressive drivers should change their fluid more often.

think about it.

Default I just flushed my brake fluid for the second time at 205k miles. No discernible difference.

It was originally done by the dealer at 40k. The pedal felt fine beforehand. Still feels good now. If I autox'd or had ever felt brake fade, I would have done it sooner...

Default Skip. Get some Techron concentrate. At 50k you are due, not yet overdue. As for coolant...

Do it with plain Generic Dexcool for now and then switch fromulas when you get your timing belt, soon.

Place a brake part in an open container of fluid and call me in 20 years.

Default I'll suggest that cylinder bore pitting and wear will occur regardless of bleeding.

Did you or did you not bleed those cars? Did they sit? If they did, they did not experience the normal cycle of heating and cooling that would tend to dissapate moisture.
