Not according the the vast majority of auto makers. You just can't scientificly correlate the two.

Default no, its called drawing on my engineering education and work experience.

plus a little common sense.

i suspect you have none of the 3 aspects above.

Default Now, we're getting into "better performing brakes".You've measured stopping distances before/after?

Brake fluid transmits force. Fluids are incompressible, including water. So, even if there is a measurable amount of water in the lines, until it reaches BOILING point, there IS NO DIFFERENCE IN THE COMPRESSABILITY OF THE COMBINED BRAKE FLUID/WATER MIX, that tells me that "firmer pedal feel" is in the operator's head.

Default OK, so I obviously don't know the background you're referring to...

seems like I touched a nerve! Was just asking for help on whether and which fluids to change given the age and mileage on my car... sheesh!

There have been more replies from brake fluid experts arguing over who's correct, than answers to my post! (note sarcasm)

In case you'd like to help...

Default Obviously.Certianly not for the first few applications.Point being, MOST mfgs don't specify changes

As well as the fact most people, esp the OP, do not track their car.

Meh, full bleed during a pad service is great.Running to the dealer mid-cycle for a bleed is a waste

Default more water also = more corrosion... and with 90% of inhibitors gone in 3 years

it would be in anyones best interest to change it at some point in the 2-3 year time frame.

some data
